Sup,
The past week was kind of slow. We had to go to Switzerland on Wednesday and Thursday and so everything we had planned for those days had to be cancelled. It kind of messed up the rest of the week. We got to meet with Reimund a couple of times, but we didn't get to meet with Lilli, Natalie or the dudes from Africa. We have appointments with them this week though, which is sweet. We have P-Day today instead of yesterday, because yesterday was a Feiertag (holiday). The Germans have them all the time, but when they have them everything shuts down except for stuff run by Muslims - which is pretty much just döner (like a bistro) shops and internet cafes. A Feiertag is like a religious holiday, and pretty much everyone uses them as excuses so they don't have to work and stuff (lol).
Ya, it's a total bummer that some punks robbed us, but it happened. No, no one ever told us that we could be robbed. My Swiss comp (i.e.: companion) said people just didn't do stuff like that here in Europe - and sure enough, it happened (lol). I found out that they stole my North Face jacket, too. So that really sucks. That was a nice jacket. When we called the mission president and told him about the event, he just told us to call the cops and make a police report. That's all he did. We live in an apartment that all you have to do is klingel (bell/buzz) to get in. You know, the typical European apartment. So, if you get passed that, you can pretty much get into anyone's apartment pretty easily because the doors on the inside aren't very strong. It looked like they just took a screwdriver or something and broke open the door.
But ya, we were in Switzerland on Wednesday and Thursday. We were in Zürich (Zurich) with the Zone Leaders. Switzerland is like one of the greatest places in the world. I love that place. It's my 2nd favorite place outside of the United States of America. We did splits with the Zone Leaders. I went with Elder Paschen, who I sent you a picture of. He is way kuhl (cool). We had 2 eating appointments in one night! Man was that a dream (lol). Everything is way expensive in Switzerland, though. Everywhere in Europe you have to pay to use the bathroom! We stopped by a Burger King so Elder Paschen could use the bathroom, and the cheapest combo meal was 15 franken (franc) (lol)! The franken is worth more then the dollar ($), and is about to pass the euro (€). That's insane! It's like that everywhere in der Schweiz (Switzerland)! A loaf of bread is, like, 8 franken, easily. Apparently the people who live in Switzerland just get paid a load of franken, so it’s just, like, normal for the people who live in Switzerland. It's crazy!
Oh ya, we had transfer calls on Friday, and Elder Sills and I are staying in Offenburg for at least another transfer. Next week is Zone Conference. It will be my first Zone Conference. Elder Buntain is still in my zone, so that is awesome! So I'll get to see him which is rad (he was my Brit companion in the MTC, if you forgot). But that's all, really, for this week, Mama.
