Things went pretty good this week. We got to meet with the Eghosa and her family once. It was really good. We watched The Restoration DVD with her and her family. She liked it a lot. Afterwards she was way happy. She will be coming to church again tomorrow with her family. They are all doing awesome. Her 17-year old and 9-year old daughter read everything that we ask them to read and participate in the lessons.
Then we got to meet with our other investigator - who will be getting baptized - three times this past week. Her name is Jane, and all of the times we met with her it went very well. We talked to her last night about the Plan of Salvation. She said she has never heard anything that could make her happier than this plan that the Lord has for us. She had never heard anything like it before. She told us how she would just wake up in the middle of the night and get really depressed sometimes because she was taught when she died and went to hell that it was fire and brimstone. It was very comforting for her to find out about how merciful the Lord really is. She said she knew what we were telling her was true, and her testimony and love for Christ, I believe, was strengthened - which was cool to see. She really likes us. She's pretty cool, too.
Okafor is doing well, though. We only got to meet with him once this week. We have been pretty busy teaching people, which is pretty nice. It’s hard, though, when you have a limited time of 3-4 hours a night.
I got to go to a FC Bayern München (Munich) game. Our mission president has been wanting to go to one of their games for a long time, so we got some tickets for his birthday ... and we kinda got tickets for ourselves, too (lol). But, it was friendly between FC Bayern Munich and the Netherlands - the Netherlands being the 2nd best national team in the world, and FC Bayern Munich being the 2nd best club team in Europe. They lost to Chelsea in the Champion League final. It was definitely an awesome experience. It was friendly. It was the last game for Munich, but like a warm-up for the Netherlands since Euro 2012 is about to start. Munich won 3-2. President Miles, Sister Miles, Elder Carter, Elder Ronna, Elder Buntain and I went to the game. I didn't think I would ever go to see a European soccer game while I was on my mission. It was pretty cool.
I'm guessing you can leave for your mission at 18 now. We have an Elder coming in our mission 2 months after his 18th birthday! That's crazy. Its cool because that means that you can leave once you’re out of high school now, and won't be as held back with school when you get home.
